How we select and train our teachers

Every Shrividhya tutor is a qualified subject specialist who clears a structured selection process and ongoing quality review — so your child is taught by a proven teacher, not a random tutor.

Qualified, tested, trained — then watched closely

Shrividhya teachers are chosen through a four-stage selection process — qualification screening, a subject-knowledge test, an evaluated demo lesson, and an interview with reference checks. Once hired, they are trained on our method, mentored through their first sessions, and reviewed continuously against student progress data and parent feedback.

How we select teachers

A four-stage process. A candidate has to clear every stage before they ever teach a Shrividhya student.

  1. 01

    Qualification & experience screening

We start with the credentials: a relevant degree, a B.Ed or teaching qualification, genuine subject specialization, and real board-exam teaching experience. Generalists who teach “everything” don’t make the cut.

  2. 02

    Subject-knowledge test

Every shortlisted teacher sits a subject test in the exact curriculum they’ll teach. We verify depth — not just familiarity — across the syllabus before they go any further.

  3. 03

    Demo / sample lesson

Candidates teach a live sample lesson that a senior educator evaluates for clarity, pacing, questioning, and how well they break a hard concept down for a single student.

  4. 04

    Interview & reference checks

A structured interview assesses temperament, communication and student-handling, followed by reference and background checks. Only teachers who clear every stage are onboarded.

How we train & review them

Selection is only the start. Quality is maintained through training, mentoring and continuous review.

  1. 01

    Onboarding on our method

Before taking a student, new teachers are trained on our 1-on-1 method and on writing to the board marking scheme — competency-based, assertion-reasoning and case-based answer technique.

  2. 02

    Mentoring & lesson observation

Early sessions are observed and mentored by a senior teacher, with feedback after each class until the teacher consistently meets our standard.

  3. 03

    Progress-data review

We review every teacher against the same topical progress-tracking that parents see — if a student’s mastery isn’t moving, we step in and adjust.

  4. 04

    Parent feedback loop

Regular parent feedback feeds directly into teacher reviews, so quality is judged by the people who matter most: the family.
